주말을 아이와 단둘이 보냈다. 한선수는 이 폭풍과 비바람속에 친구들과 1박 2일로 놀러가버렸다. 아이는 비람소리와 윗층에서 내는 엄청난 소음소리에 연신 무섭다며 아빠를 찾는다. 아빠가 세상에서 힘이 제일 세다고 세뇌시킨 결과라고나 할까. 아이가 이렇게 무서워하는 정도의 층간 소음이라면 아무리 생각해도 윗층이 너무 하다는 생각과 함께 빨리 이사가야 하는데 왜 이리도 집보러 안오는지 부터 시작하여 온갖 잡생각에 휩싸여 아이를 꼭 끌어 안고, 이불속에 있으니 잠이 절로온다. 조그많고, 꼬물꼬물하고, 앙증맞은 아이가 품안에 폭 안기는 이 느낌! 나에게 아이가 없었더라면 과연 알기나 했을까? 이 포근한 느낌을...

선곡이랄거까진 없지만, 그냥 갑자기 라디오 듣다가 생각나서 ....
가사는 내 느낌과 전혀 상관이 없는듯... 거의 1차원적인 선곡! ㅋㅋ

완전 발랄한것이 금요일에 딱 어울리는 노래인것 같다.

요즘 이 자유분방해 보이는 호주 가수에게 꽂혀버렸다.

싱어송라이터에 시원시원하고 심플한 목소리!

거기다가 어쿠스틱 연주까지 직접...

기타, 건반은 물론 휘파람까지.. ^^;;

이런게 진짜 가수구나... 라는 걸 느끼게 해준다.

Youtube를 검색해 보면 꽤 많은 동영상들이 나오는데

공연을 얼마나 많이 했는지를 알 수가 있다.

 

아주 오랜만에 음반 지름신이 강림하시어

여기저기 검색해 보았으나...

활동은 꽤 오래전부터 한것 같은데

국내에서 인지도가 많이 없어서 그런지 음반이 고작 두개 나온다.

그거라도 사야겠다.

(어라.. 하나는 그나마 품절이구만... 아마존이라도 뒤져야 하나?)

 

우연히 찾은 음악

보물을 찾은 느낌

나의 회사 데스크탑 아이튠즈에 나뒹굴고 있던 음반인데... 생소한 그룹명 탓에 거들떠도 보지 않고 있다가 그냥... 어느날 문득 play 시켜 보았다.

나는 J-pop를 그다지 좋아 하지 않는다. 이유는 언어에 대한 편견때문이다. 분명 편견이 나쁘다는건 알지만... 어쨌든 나는 일본어를 그다지 좋아하지 않는다. 왠지 언어속에 그득히 녹아 있는 친절함에 대한 거부감이랄까.
내가 꼴리는대로 표현하고 싶지만, 칼맞지 않으려면 자제해야겠쥐... 

처음엔 그냥 팝송인지 알았다. 담백한 멜로디에 시원시원한 목소리가 별로 거슬림이 없어.. 부담이 없었다. 음반을 몇번씩이나 듣고 나서야 일본어가 섞여 있는지 알게 되었다. 역시 음악이란건 뼛속깊은 편견마저 무시해 버리는 거대한 힘이 존재하는것 같다. 아니면 나의 편견이 그리 크지 않았다던가, 내가 무디던가...

 
이 노래는 2005에 발매된 베스트앨범 Early Times에 수록되어 있는 곡이다.
이 음반중에 fantastic world 란 노래가 좋은데.. 이건 뮤비를 찾을수가 없더구만...

2002년 리쌍 1집 객원보컬로 Rush란 노래를 접했을때 정말 특이한 음색이라고 생각했다. Macy Gray를 일부러 흉내냈나 싶을 정도로.. 암튼 쉽게 범접할수 있는 목소리는 아닌것같다. 신나는 펑키리듬에 이상한 우울함이 있다. 신나지만... 우울한... 신비한?... 아마도 "정인"이란 가수의 음색때문이 아닌가 싶다. 한달내내 이 음반만 듣고 있어도 질리질 않는다.

한가지 아쉬운점은.. 2004년 이 음반 이후로 후속 앨범이 나오고 있지 않다는것!
제발 음반좀 내주지...
